Strength Assessment

Functional measures of the strength of muscles related to running performance and injury will be tested and compared.  Specific drills and exercises will be recommended based on the findings.

Flexibility Assessment

Specific measures of the flexibility in the hips, knees, ankles and feet will be compared between limbs and among individuals of similar age, gender and running skill.  Normalized symmetry and range of motion will be the focus of exercises and stretches.

2-D Strike Analysis

High speed video is collected from 2 views and specific measures of running will be defined using custom software. Step rate, strike position, strike pattern, hip and knee position are among the important measures observed. These can be used for establishing specific training programs or gait retraining.

3-D Gait Analysis

The most detailed measures of human movement available. Experts in the field of running biomechanics will interpret specific movements of the lower extremities while running over ground or on a treadmill. A detailed report with specific recommendations for running, cross training and strengthening will be provided.
