KHS faculty received the President's Inclusive Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award!

Dr. Seth Leibowitz, an excutive director of Health Sciences Programs and Advising, has been selected as the recipient of the President's Inclusive Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award of the Presidential Awards for Community Multicultural Enrichment (PACME).

The PACME awards were created to recognize and encourage contributions such as advocating equity, building community, establishing cross-cultural initiatives, nurturing acceptance and promoting civility within the university and area communities.

During Dr. Leibowitz's 18 years of service to VCU, he's been an integral member of the Health Sciences Academy within the Division of Health Sciences Diversity, where he promotes 'inclusion' by bridging communities among faculty, administration, and student units across both the Monroe Park and Medical campuses. He has garnered national recognition for establishing programs and initiatives that have enriched and embraced at-risk, economically disadvantaged, and minority students from high-school through post-graduate populations in reaching their career goals, particularly in the health sciences. 

This award recognizes Dr. Leibowitz's contributions and efforts toward enhancing the goals of inclusive excellence and diversity at VCU.
