Research Interests

The main focus of Pyles’ activities as an educator, researcher and services and programs evaluator has been underrepresented and underserved, vulnerable populations including racial and ethnic minorities, the elderly and persons residing in rural and nonmetropolitan areas. In addition, Pyles has an interest in health promotion, individual and community empowerment and the structure and organization of the U. S. health care system.
