Research Interests

My research activities are focused on understanding mechanisms related to stimulus-induced (exercise, high fat meal consumption, mental stress) monocyte activation and macrophage differentiation in various populations (male/female, racial differences, healthy patients, cancer survivors, heart attack survivors) and the role of physical activity in modulating the inflammatory response that impacts vascular health.
