Research Interests

Exercise immunology, particularly the role of monocytes/macrophages in cardiovascular disease development and cardiac remodeling following acute myocardial infarction. The role of lactate as a signaling molecule in the monocyte to macrophage differentiation process and its effects on macrophage polarization.
