Scholarships

The College of Humanities and Sciences offers more than 100 scholarship opportunities annually to currently enrolled students.

Of those, the following are offered to students specifically through the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, though there are more general scholarships in the full scholarship database for which students may qualify, as well. Our scholarships are supported by, or endowed in honor of, alums and former members of our faculty, in a tangible representation of their deep commitment to VCU and to kinesiology and health sciences as a discipline.

  • Kinesiology and Health Sciences Scholarship: Endowed in the spring of 1994, this scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student majoring in kinesiology and health sciences. The scholarship is intended to benefit academically talented majors who have also been active in university and community service.
  • The Schiltz Family Merit Scholarship: The Schiltz Family Merit Scholarship will be awarded annually to an incoming, full-time freshman planning to major in kinesiology and health sciences or criminal justice majors. The award will be made based on merit and is renewable as long as the recipient remains in good academic standing.
