Research Interests

The overarching goal of Kim's research is to study and better understand the dynamic nature of lifestyle behaviors, particularly physical activity and sedentary behaviors, and its impact on health in diverse population groups. In this regard, the scope of his research is broad and largely cross-disciplinary, addressing the key phases of the behavioral epidemiological framework:

  • Examining the links between behaviors and health
  • Validating and refining methods for quantifying outcome variables of behaviors
  • Identifying the contextual factors influencing behaviors
  • Developing and implementing an intervention
