Dr. Salvatore Carbone receives award from the Heart Failure Society of America

Dr. Carbone's research investigates the role of different dietary interventions and body composition phenotypes on cardiorespiratory fitness and energy metabolism in patients with obesity and heart failure, with a focus on heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.

Salvatore Carbone, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, was recently awarded the Jay N. Cohn New Investigator Award from the Heart Failure Society of America for his presentation, titled "Validation of Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis Compared to DEXA to Measure Body Composition in Patients with Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction." This award recognizes excellence in young investigators. Congrats Salvatore!
